Springtime flowers can be a joy for everyone.

They’re an early sign of winter’s end and hope for fairer skies ahead.

 

One of the largest early blooms is from the camellia, which grows in most moderate zones of the United States. Blossoms can be white, ivory, pink or red. The lighter hues would make a stunningly rich display in a deep plum Weller pottery vase like this one:
