As Sure as the Sun

A girl has to follow her dream. And so it was with Emmylou Harris.
She started college on a drama scholarship in Greensboro, NC., in the
mid-1960s.
In due time, she dropped out and moved to NYC where she did what is now classically cliché: waited tables to support a passion for music.
Naturally, Emmylou performed in – where else but –
the legendary bohemian mecca of Greenwich Village coffeehouses.
The list of artists she’s performed with sounds like a Who’s Who
of folk, country, bluegrass, alt rock and Americana.
All that aside, Emmylou is simply graced with the voice of an angel.
