Everyone loves a well-appointed bed.

Especially when we use items we’ve held onto from years passed: a patchwork quilt, knitted afghan, woolen spread, satin coverlet, flannel sheets, and more; all set to layer the perfect bed for those colder nights ahead.

 

Before the days of the weighted blanket, heavy layers of blankets could equal a 15 lb. covering on a double bed.

Maybe that’s why sleep used to come more easily and we would awake more refreshed!
